Brooklyn Youth Football
Brooklyn City Schools and the City of Brooklyn are partnering in offering Youth Football beginning Fall of 2026. The program will be instructional by nature with practices and skills camps held during the season with competitive league play on weekends. Volunteer coaches will manage teams and run practices and games.
Brooklyn teams will play in the Chagrin Valley Conference Youth Football League which consists of teams based in the home communities of member athletic schools.
Age Groups / Divisions: Kindergarten - 6th grade
Kindergarten: Flag Football
1-2 Grade: Flag Football
3-4 Grade: Flag Football
5-6 Grade: Tackle Football
League: Chagrin Valley Conference
Participants: Brooklyn Residents and students who attend school in city limits i.e Brooklyn City Schools, STM and Heritage Christian
Fees: Flag Football $75 / Tackle Football $150 - Fee includes uniform (Pads, jersey, helmet, pants) and a team issues T-shirt or hoodie. Fees also used for league entry fee and payment of referee for home games.
Location: Home games and practices are held at Brooklyn Hurricane Alley Fields. Away games can be played at any CVC Participant site (Chagrin Falls, Orange, Hawken, University Heights, Independence, Beachwood, Wickliffe, Berkshire, Fairport Harbor, Painsville.
Practices: Will begin in August and games in September after Labor Day. Teams will practice based on the following parameters. Season to conclude at the end of OCtober.
Flag Football: 1-2 times Weekly on weeknight evenings and Saturdays
Tackle Football 2-3 times Weekly on weeknight evenings and Saturdays
Games: Home and away games to be played on Sundays for all leagues. Game times will be dependent on host site. 6 game regular season plus "Bowl Week" in Week 7
